Larry Adamson is a native of southwestern Indiana, and he graduated from a very small rural high school in 1960. He earned a B. S. Degree in Education in 1964 from Indiana State University and a Master's Degree in Education in 1967. He spent fourteen years in public education in Indiana as a teacher and coach on the secondary level. He spent twenty-three years as Director of Championship Administration with the United States Golf Association at their corporate office in Far Hills, New Jersey. He is married to the former Barbara White, they have three children and six grandchildren. He retired from the USGA in late 2002 and now lives just outside of Nashville in Franklin, Tennessee. He remains active in volunteer work and spends much of his free time in other activities related to golf, sporting events, old cars and music.
The book Just Some Thoughts is just that; his writings are on various subjects and his own life experiences. It is a collection of his thoughts from over early morning coffee to late night ramblings. Larry grew up in his small Indiana community in what he considers one of the best times to be a teenager, the late 1950s'. Larry once commented that he felt he had been lucky, to which a friend corrected him and said, "No, you have not just been lucky, you have been blessed;" to which Larry highly agrees. Larry hopes you might enjoy his writings and perhaps it will strike a chord or two of remembrances that bring back memories, whether happy or a bit sad. Hopefully, helping one to enjoy and appreciate life. Larry can often be found mornings stopping by his coffee shop, or on his way to a golf course. He wishes you could join him and many do at either place. Purchase Larry's Book by clicking the "Buy Now" button below or if you'd prefer you may contact Larry directly to request a copy.
