In the early days of television there was a popular police type show called "Dragnet."
The star of the show was detective sergeant Joe Friday, played by actor Jack Webb.
A popular line associated with that show and often attributed to Friday when trying to obtain information regarding a crime that had been committed was:
"Just the facts, ma'ma just the facts."
Not too long ago I sat in a class and heard the teacher say:
"Feelings aren't facts"
I often think about that teacher's statement. Possibly far too often feelings have been taken for facts. I agree with the teacher.
