I'm ready for a return.
As a young kid I remember the early days of television. The first television station I can remember was Channel four WTTV out of Bloomington, Indiana. They and most all early television stations thought out the United States did something that I'm in favor of stations returning to doing.
"I got into television," he told me during our first meeting, "because I saw people throwing pies at each other's faces and that to me was such demeaning behavior. And if there's anything that bothers me, it's one person demeaning another. That really makes me mad."
In the early days of television most stations did not sign on, come on the air until around noon. No, really they didn't. Also, most all stations went off the air at midnight. Remember them playing the National Anthem and then signing off. During the hours they were off the air there would be what was called a "Test Pattern."
Well, I'm ready for a return "Test Patterns".......along with that return I also am ready for radio to return to the days of disc jockeys and music. I remember afternoon and nightly disc jockey's and music shows. Personally I could do with a lot less than what television currently offers and certainly a bit less of "talk radio."
Ok...I know that is not going to happen...but in the words of Mr. Rogers..."I'm tired of the pie throwing."
