"If you're not about the truth, you're not qualified to play any kind of music."
(Wendell Logan: Professor --Oberlin Conservatory of Music)
On a recent road trip to Florida I visited Hank William's boyhood home in Georgina, Alabama. It was kinda strange walking through this home looking at various facets of his life. Quite a life for the short twenty-nine years that he lived. He has been called the "Hillbilly Shakespeare."
Mark Twain once said: "All of us contain music and truth but most of us can't get it out."
One thing for sure ole Hank could do both. He could write it and he could get it out.
