In 1956 Johnny Cash recorded this song "I Walk the Line" on the Sun label. He wrote the song as a thought of his love and to reassure his wife of this love.
The popularity that came to him because of this song often put him in otherwise situations.
I can remember sitting in the audience in 1956 (I'm fourteen years old) at the Grand Ole Opry and seeing him perform this song. It was a smash hit and sent his popularity thru the roof.
You know popularity can often be a hard rascal to handle.
Sometimes what we create to do what we think it will do....it can end up doing the opposite.
